Hiya! My name is Dan, I'm a huge Pokemon fan/nerd from Broward County, Florida. When it comes to Pokemon, there is nothing I dont want.

I play TCG and go to several leagues down here, eventually hope to go to natl's and worlds (its a long term goal xD)

What does "Chan" mean?

In a username? I've seen here and at Pkmncollectors in LiveJournal several users with the part "chan" in their names (for example *usako-chan, *Yunie-chan, miss_fuu_chan (LJ), milkycat_chan (LJ) and now im curious :) )

Something else that I noticed is that they put the "chan" part after a dash (-) or underscore (_)

Again, this is no "chan" bashing, but mere curiosity

If anybody knows, can you please share why?
